Help Us Now Spreading Joy: Mahror Foundation Celebrates Holi with Love and Color

When we think of Holi, we picture bursts of color, laughter, and togetherness. But for many underprivileged communities, the festival often passes by without celebration. At Mahror Foundation, we believe everyone deserves to feel the joy of Holi—and we make that happen, one splash of color at a time. This year, our volunteers gather in the days leading up to Holi to prepare for a celebration unlike any other. It’s not just about handing out gulal or sweets. It’s about creating moments of joy, connection, and dignity for those who are often forgotten. The Magic Behind the Colors We start by sourcing eco-friendly, skin-safe colors—because celebration should never come at the cost of safety. Then comes the fun part: packing hundreds of color kits filled with gulal, sweets, and a small toy or treat for the kids. Our teams visit shelters, and slum communities, turning ordinary spaces into vibrant mini-celebrations. We dance, we laugh, we smear color on cheeks that light up with happiness. For many kids, this is the first time they’ve celebrated Holi with such excitement. It’s More Than a Festival At the heart of it all is our belief in dignity and inclusion. These color drives are not charity—they are solidarity. We don’t go to “help” people, we go to celebrate with them. That spirit of togetherness is what makes the Mahror Holi experience so powerful—for both the communities and our volunteers. Want to Be a Part of It? We need helping hands and open hearts. Whether you want to volunteer your time or support us with a donation, there’s room for you in this colorful movement. Let’s make this Holi brighter for everyone. Because when we share joy, we multiply it.
